On November 18th, 2015 the Unified Small Business Alliance will host their 2nd Annual USBA Community Expo at the Toyota Meeting Hall of the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.  Event is free and open to the public.  Doors open from Noon to 7:00 PM.

USBA Roundtables getting a lot of traction

Since October of 2014, the Unified Small Business Alliance (USBA) has grown to over 1,500 members and growing.  Their Roundtable events have drawn small business owners from as far as 3 hours away.  Our average attendance is 65 guests at our Torrance, CA. meeting, 55 in Lomita, CA. and about 30 in Gardena, CA.
Most of the attendees come back time and time again.  We are completely free to small business owners.  No membership dues, no fee to attend, and no sales pitch at the end of the meetings.  We do however offer sponsorship opportunities that have been so popular that we are booked until October of 2015.  Basically sold out.  But this comes at a cost.  Organizations such as local chambers have clearly determined us as a threat and continuously try to black ball us.  I am not surprised as they seem to treat any other networking group as a threat as well.  I have spoken to representatives of Le Tip and BNI and they have expressed similar feelings.  One local chamber in particular has partnered with us and overcome the fear of losing members and started benefitting tremendously by the added guests attending their functions.  We believe that the USBA is just a small piece of the puzzle and that we should all work together in that one common goal of helping small businesses flourish.
